"Michael's Jams Of The Month" for November 2023 features one of his longest lasting projects. I'm not sure when Doobious was first conceived, but my guess is that it was probably around 2005 or just a bit later. Michael was the leader and the common thread for the lifespan of the band, and he had a cast of other great players over the years. Ronnie Martin, Chris Gamble, Jeff Diemert, Sam Jernigan, Dave Webb, Daryl Huffman, Bill Rabon and Mark Willis were all a part of Doobious at one time or another...and I know there are several more great players who I can't recall. Contained in the "Jams" are well over 100 YouTube videos and around 80 audio recordings of various songs at various venues in the Mobile area. Michael was a fanatic about recording the gigs he played, and there are hours and hours of Doobious media I've yet to uncork. And I'll be posting more…stay tuned.
